Creating 3D Animated Simulations - Our Experience

Clarity and detailed information in medical education can save lives.

After all, clear, detailed information is crucial when it comes to medicine and health. Our 3D animated simulations served as an appropriate tool for medical education for our clients, and the results were more than positive. We have three main reasons why we created 3D animated simulations for this project:

1. 3D Animated Simulations provide detailed and volumetric visualizations compared to conventional photos or medicine atlases or brochures.

2. 3D designs allow the creation of realistic simulations to reflect accurately modeled objects

3. The possibility of having access to these animations from anywhere at any time via the internet

We produced a series of animations to serve as a manual for prospective doctors. They were able to see and learn how to perform different procedures properly and acquire new knowledge. The animated simulations we produced became the most effective way for our clients to increase professional competence through training based on 3D visual materials, which proved to be engaging and interesting. Ultimately, we created different 3D animated simulations for different medical processes, from performing CPR to examining if a person is conscious or not by shining a light to check if the eye pupils are constricted or not.

One particular 3D animated simulation we created was highly realistic in simulating the experience of a patient with epilepsy. The 3D animated simulation replicated the experience with precise detail in showing how the pipes, including the rubber tubes that flex during convulsions, and the medical appliances, realistically moved and interacted during the procedure.

Another 3D animated simulation we created is an educational situation where a patient with a cast in a bed requires moving, such as raising the bed’s headboard. In this simulation, the task of moving the patient is in 3D animation and shows how objects in the surrounding virtual environment move depending on the movements performed by the user. As a result, learners understand how and what to do correctly in such a situation through the simulation.

In the end, we received a good review from the client. And overall, the project was successful thanks to the designer's skills and clever use of the software.

We recognize that 3D animation is not a primary source of information or knowledge but rather a tool for accurately illustrating the process and consequences of an actual situation.

Animated Simulations can Provide Clarity in Medical Education

For us, clarity refers to a highly detailed and realistic view of an actual real-world experience in an animated simulation. We believe that 3D animated simulations can improve the learning process because animation captivates attention and stimulates the mind by bringing to life for learners the experience of complicated surgical procedures in medicine.

Other advantages of 3D animated simulations over traditional textbooks and atlases are dissemination, accessibility, and the opportunity to make changes in models and update them when necessary.

Opportunities in using 3D Animated Simulations in Medicine

Today, corporations, private agencies, and developers worldwide are developing solutions for 3D software and proposing opportunities to create quality 3D animations. With 3D modeling, we can simulate many experiments quickly and visualize them to determine the exact formula and methodology. In the future, modeling experiments or hypotheses in this way could lead to a lower production cost of tablets, vaccines, and simulated complicated surgery operations for predicting results. For example, a simulated surgery to examine the appearance of a viscera without surgery, but based on reliable data from future super-devices, can be a game-changer. Using 3D technology in medicine can create a safe environment for experiments without limits.

Nowadays, 3D animation is common for helping MedTech companies showcase their unique technology. 3D animation has become the supporting technology for making sales and showing how other complicated technologies work.

Also significant is the impact of 3D animation on patients. 3D animated simulations provide clear information on how professionals perform different procedures. The simulations also give clients a holistic understanding of the processes and help them make more informed choices. These educational videos enable patients to feel comfortable and reasonably understand the results of surgery.

As the digital transformation continues to open up amazing opportunities for medicine, the right team of software developers can innovate and improve companies' learning experience and sales processes. Project ideas could start from digitalizing existing medical procedures, such as surgery, to modeling any experiments in 3D animated simulations. With no limits in 3D technology, our clients could successfully provide more effective service.
